Our Story Begins…
Cambodia's first brewery was founded in the early 1960s. Commissioned by the Cambodian government, the brewery used the latest technology from Europe. It was strategically built in Preah Sihanoukville because its clear unpolluted spring water was the best water source in the country.

The start of something big
By 1965, the brewery was fully operational and was officially inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Norodom Sihanouk.
Bayon beer was the first beer brand procedure by the brewery.

It will rise once again
Cambrew Ltd. Assumed full control of the brewery after it was destroyed during the war. It took 9 months to rebuild the brewery with the addition of a state-of-the-art water treatment system together with a world-class automated packing line.
Cambrew Ltd. Started to expand its portfolio by adding Klang Beer, Black Panther Stout, Angkor Extra Stout and what would eventually become the Kingdom`s National Beer-Angkor Premium Beer.
Cambrew Ltd. Also received the exclusive license to bottle and distribute PepsiCo products in the country.

Going global, proudly local
Cambrew Ltd. went into a joint venture partnership with one of the largest brewing groups in the world- the Carlsberg Group. This ensures that Cambrew Ltd. Would have world-class resources to further enhance its offerings.

Thinking big
Cambrew Ltd. Continued its expansion by adding a third brewhouse that is still one of the most modern in the region. This increased the brewing capacity to 8 million hectoliter per year-one of the largest capacities in the region.

Never stop innovating
Cambrew Ltd. Introduced the country`s first ring tabs on Angkor Premium Beer bottles, the first and only in the country. The bottle was also redesigned to sport a slimmer and more progressive look.
Cambrew Ltd. Continues to reap the rewards of its brewing expertise- Angkor Premium Beer won a Gold Medal Award from the prestigious Monde Selection.

The Kingdom's pride
Cambrew Ltd. Celebrated Angkor Brewery`s 50^th anniversary. Cambrew Ltd. Is now the most modern and largest single brewery in Asia with a n installed brewing capacity of 12 million hectoliter per year. Cambrew Ltd. Was rewarded another Gold medal by Monde Selection for Angkor Premium Beer and another Grand Gold for Black Panther. In 2015 Cambrew Ltd. Opened the door of its sleek, new, and modern corporate head office building locate din Phnom Penh.

Cambrew Ltd launched Angkor Premium Beer Sleek Can, a first of local beer brand in the Cambodian Market.

75% of Cambrew shares owned by Carlsberg Group.

100% of Cambrew shares owned by Carlsberg Group. Cambrew Ltd Launched new Angkor Premium Beer, keeping the original recipe from 1992, while at the same time making it look more modern and trendier, as well as making it live up to the more demanding taste buds of a new generation of Cambodian consumers.
