Our Together Towards ZERO and Beyond (TTZAB) programme consists of our ambitions and concrete targets that address the environmental, social and governance (ESG) topics that are most material to our business and to wider society. As we work to achieve these, we are taking actions and delivering results towards our milestones in 2030 and 2040.
TTZAB is our response to global challenges such as inequality, climate change and water scarcity, as well as society’s increasing focus on health and well-being. The programme is anchored in our purpose of brewing for a better today and tomorrow, and is embedded into our overall corporate strategy.
Consequently, in pursuit of our targets, we are working to manage our most material business impacts responsibly, while taking actions that contribute positively to society. We will achieve our targets in partnership with our suppliers, customers, consumers and the communities where we operate, going Towards ZERO and Beyond, Together.
From boosting recycling rates and piloting regenerative agriculture, to promoting responsible consumption and keeping health and safety top of mind for all our employees, this past year was a testament to our commitment to continually doing better, together. Check out some of our highlights below.
For the first time in Carlsberg's history, our financial and non-financial results are presented side by side. Aligned with CSRD, this change also reflects our continued efforts to integrate ESG into the business.
In 2024, our Danish business began sourcing a malt barley grown using regenerative principles, which will move us closer to our goal of achieving a ZERO Farming Footprint.
Water is a primary ingredient in all our beverages. To help protect this vital resource, our aim is to replenish 100% of the water we consume at our breweries in high water-risk areas by 2030.
Our ZERO Accidents Culture is essential to creating a safe working environment across all our sites. A Carlsberg brewery in Foshan, China, has achieved great success in proving that upholding rigorous standards protects people’s health and safety.
