During the cold season, monks put more malt into their beers. So we thought ‘’let us add more malt as well – and then more of something else.’’ When brewing this beer, we use Belgian Cara Aroma, Munich II, Cara Munich and Pilsner malts. But that’s not all – we age the beer with slightly toasted french oak chips, which give a flavor typical to wine aged in oak barrels. It is a new coast in the sea of flavors. Cheers to complexity!
